Who we are

Hauora is a trading name of HAUORA LTD, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16789968). Registered office: 68 Crouch Hill, London N8 9EE. Clinic: At The Core, The Courtyard, 44 Gloucester Avenue, Primrose Hill, London NW1 8JD.

HAUORA LTD is responsible for the personal information described on this page. For any question about your information, email contact@hauora.com or call 020 4541 8924.

What we collect

  • When you book: your name, email address, phone number, the service and practitioner you choose, your appointment date and time, and anything you tell us in the notes box, such as your injury, your goals or a referral.
  • When you contact us or join our mailing list: your name, email address, phone number and your message.
  • When you are a patient: the clinical records your physiotherapist makes during your assessment and treatment. We keep these in Cliniko, a secure practice management system built for health clinics.
  • If you claim on health insurance: your insurer, your policy or authorisation number, and the information your insurer needs to settle the claim.
  • When you use the website: your IP address when you send a form, and information collected by cookies (see Cookies below).

Information about your health is special category data under UK data protection law. We only collect what we need to look after you.

Why we use it

  • To arrange and manage your appointments and reply to you, because you have asked us to.
  • To assess and treat you and keep clinical records. This is health care provided by registered health professionals who owe you a duty of confidentiality.
  • To keep the records our professional standards and insurance require.
  • To process insurance claims, with your agreement to share information with your insurer.
  • To send you news and advice by email, only if you asked to join our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To keep the website secure and stop spam.
  • To understand how the website is used and how our adverts perform, only if you accept those cookies.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We share it only where needed with:

  • the practitioners who treat you;
  • your health insurer, if you claim;
  • your GP or another clinician, with your agreement, or where we must for your safety;
  • the companies that run our systems for us: our clinical records system (Cliniko), our website host (WPMU DEV), our email provider (Spacemail) and Google (website analytics and advertising, only if you accept those cookies);
  • the authorities, if the law requires it.

Some of these providers may handle data outside the UK. Where they do, they use the safeguards UK law requires.

How long we keep it

  • Clinical records: for as long as professional guidance requires, normally 8 years after your last appointment for adults, and longer for children.
  • Booking and enquiry details from people who do not go on to become patients: no longer than 2 years.
  • Mailing list: until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it (we may need to keep clinical records for the period above), ask us to limit how we use it, object to how we use it, or ask for a copy to take elsewhere. Where we rely on your agreement, you can withdraw it at any time. Email contact@hauora.com and we will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use cookies the website needs to work, such as remembering your progress through the booking form and your cookie choice. These are always on.

With your agreement we also use Google Analytics, to count visits and see which pages are useful, and Google Ads, to measure whether our adverts lead to bookings and to show our adverts to people who have visited the site. When you first visit, we ask whether you accept these. Until you accept, Google does not store analytics or advertising cookies on your device.

You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page, or block and delete cookies in your browser settings. Refusing these cookies does not stop you using the site or booking.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
